We worked with Derco to create a new automotive business model that reduces coordination and real estate costs, thus challenging a traditional and atomized industry.
To test different hypotheses while protecting Derco’s brand, we created Autopia. Once the new business was refined, the learnings were incorporated to the main brand. Today DercoUsados.cl sells used cars in a unique way offering: transparency, reliability and safety.

Interviews revealed that sellers and buyers felt vulnerable against the information asymmetries of the used car market. To mitigate this problem, Dercousados.cl offers free return in the first 7 days after purchase and mechanical warranty for 3 months.
Dercousados.cl improves the web exhibition, revealing all the imperfections of the car and connecting the potential buyer with the mechanic who inspected the car. This, added to the request of an online reservation to see the car, helps considerably reduce the use of real estate.
Rapid prototypes under Autopia brand brought users closer to the final experience before making large investments. This allowed us to validate requirements, define the business model and develop a modern and scalable platform.
